Steven Meyer started Advisors Mortgage Group in 1999 out of a 400 square foot office in Shrewsbury, NJ and now over 20 years later the company has over 400 employees across 34 states. His passion for helping people attain the ultimate American dream of homeownership is the driving force behind Advisors.
The core values of family, customers, and community are what keep the team grounded and lay the foundation for that personal touch that goes into every transaction and relationship the company has. Steven’s commitment to maintaining the company’s culture of a family atmosphere of respect and collaboration is evident in the day-to-day operations of the company. Steven lives in close proximity to the office headquarters with his wife and two children.

Sean joined the company in 2003 and has been instrumental in the company’s growth over the last 20 years. He oversees numerous departments in the company, ensuring the organization supports its loan officers in every way possible so they can meet and exceed their goals. Sean plays an integral role in making sure the company’s core values are not just words but are put into action through internal communication as well as external charitable contributions and community involvement. Sean calls Middletown, NJ home, which is the town in which he grew up and now shares with his wife and two children.

Steve is originally from Nebraska where he started his mortgage lending career four decades ago. He moved to New Jersey in 1983 and was vice president of a local mortgage company where he met Steven Meyer years later. He joined Advisors in 2003 as vice president. Steve brings his midwestern charm to the Advisors Family, along with his wealth of knowledge and experience. All of these qualities have helped him become one of the most reliable people at Advisors over the years. He hasn’t encountered a loan scenario that he can’t crack, and is always willing to bring his perspective to the table to help loan officers and branches no matter what the issue is. Steve and his wife have rescued many senior golden retrievers throughout the years, helping them enjoy their “golden” years as only they can.
Branch Operations Manager - Advisors Family since 2009
John started with Advisors in 2009 in the post-closing department before being named Branch Operations Manager in 2017. John oversees the daily operations of the company ensuring that all customers are receiving top-notch service and is always available to assist the team with questions. He is a true problem solver who leads with integrity and the utmost professionalism. John is a native of Little Silver, NJ and now lives in Ocean Twp, with his wife and two children.
