El informe fue mejor que las expectativas, que buscaban una ca\u00edda de 3.4%. A\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, las ventas de viviendas existentes han bajado 34%.<\/p>\n<p>El inventario de viviendas contin\u00faa con una tendencia a la baja despu\u00e9s de su pico de 1,3 millones en agosto. Se redujo por quinto mes consecutivo a 970.000. Esta fue una disminuci\u00f3n de 13.4% con respecto al informe anterior. La disminuci\u00f3n es una ocurrencia normal cada vez que este a\u00f1o debido a la acumulaci\u00f3n estacional.  <\/p>\n<p>Adicionalmente, existe una oferta de viviendas para 2,9 meses. Es estrecho porque normalmente habr\u00eda una oferta de viviendas en el mercado para 4,6 meses. Sin embargo, si observa las listas activas, solo hay 690,000 viviendas disponibles, lo que significa que 29% del inventario disponible est\u00e1n bajo contrato y no se pueden comprar. Este hecho habla de la demanda, ya que en un mercado normal, solo 25% de inventario normalmente est\u00e1n bajo contrato. <\/p>\n<p>Como podemos ver, las ventas de viviendas existentes son ligeramente m\u00e1s bajas, pero no tan malas como esperaban los analistas. Es evidente que el mercado de la vivienda todav\u00eda est\u00e1 muy buscado y los niveles de inventario son bajos a primera vista, pero son a\u00fan m\u00e1s bajos cuando se mira m\u00e1s a fondo el informe cuando se miran las casas que realmente est\u00e1n a la venta.
